Sunday Sister Brekkie

It has been a while since the four of us catch up. We had been very busy with our own life. Thus, Min and I decided to organize a breakfast outing on a Sunday morning last weekend. This is due to a few reasons, Min works six days a week and Yin has a tuition which took up half of her Sunday.

I was the driver of the day, everyone was beat up because we are not early risers xD. If you look closer at the pictures, you will see the beat up signs on us xD.

Anyhow, I fetched my sisters and we headed to Hailam Kopitiam @ The Strand, Kota Damansara.

Fly Club Access - Sept 2010

Out of boredom, I decided to join the texting contest during Fly FM Night Flight.

A while later, got a phone call from Hafiz, the dj that night.

I know dj expected people like me to be really excited, but the call was unexpected :)

I think my voice was disappointing xD

Anyhow, thanks a lot to Fly FM, I got myself two VIP passes to party with Fly FM at Milk Club, Bangsar.

Apparently, there were free flow of alcohols and food.

So I decided to bring my dai ka cheh go xD, she really can drink a lot xD.

Zher started off the night with some intro, then she went back to sit with the Fly FM family.

Their table was just beside the stage woot.

MILK Club is a fan of iMac too :D

Then, James Baum came.

I really had no idea who is he.

His songs, not my cup of tea.

We left really early that day, around 1.30am.

That's cause MILK was getting really packed, and the smokes were very thick.

Bad ventilation sucked the life outta me.

I'm never going back there :(

Singapore Again with 3 Families.

Singapore, as wonderful as ever.

Was there from 10 to 12 of September 2010.

I know, ya I'm addicted on going to Singapore.

This trip was possibly the best Singapore trip so far.

We played, we ate, we travelled, we ventured, and we shopped :)

Clarke Quay, Sentosa, Tampines, Marina Bay, Orchard etc.

Seriously. What's not to like about Singapore :)?

While I was there with the families, it was rather happening.

Due to Grand Prix season, I've decided to bring Jim around Singapore at night to feel the atmosphere.

The place we went on the second night was Clarke Quay.

It was a Saturday night, and there were Grand Prix roadshows, Taiwanese Food fair that day.

The crowd was really really thick.

had our dinner in a restaurant called Hooter overlooking the water, they serves western fare.

Anyway YES, you read it right, before cousin's departure back to the land of ang mohs to continue his tertiary education, we had a movie marathon which consisted of good food and of course three movies in total. This movie marathon lasted for two days!

The Legend of the Fist : The Return of Chen Zhen

Rating : 3.5/5

It's a good film, but not great.

The action part was good, but then there were some parts, too much talking though :(

But I LOVE DONNIE YEN!!!

The Hole

Totally, utterly stupid film.

Save your $$, don't waste your time.

Wall Street : Money Never Sleeps

Rating : 4.5/5

What can I say? The best among the three.

Be sure to have an economic base, or be prepared to open up your ears to all the economic terms being use :)

And FYI, Douglas is a good actor, and this film proved it :)

Great outing, now I have something to look forward to for the next few months :)

LeVain Boulangerie Patisserie.

Courtesy of cousin, I found out the existence of this wonderful bread paradise known as LeVain Boulangerie Patisserie.

This place, like Alexis, has also been blogged to death by many bloggers.

Inside the restaurant, it is strictly no photos taking, what a waste eh.

Thank God, they have a facebook page :), I grabbed these photos from their facebook page :)

Um when we finally got to LeVain, the weather was similar to the one in the above image, the sun was burning hot.

Designated parking lots for the customers, certainly weren't enough, because when we got there today, the parking lots were full. We parked outside and walked in.

This is how the inside of LeVain looks like. Very comfy and very english.

To tell the truth, there were lots of ang-moh people :P

Upstairs was closed, only downstairs and open air area were open. Almost all the tables were occupied while we were there.

We stayed for about an hour, and left at around 1pm.

Being a crazy pastries fan, when I saw these, I was totally lost for choice.

I paced back and forth, from the bread section, to the cake section and back to the bread section.

& then, it was decided :)

Like I said, photo taking was not allowed.

Therefore, I had to go around scouting for similar pictures of food that we ordered :)

Cinnamon roll, my all time favorite.

Cousin ordered their bestseller. This curry chicken donut was quick to sell out.

I took this picture! This is a sort of coffee based cake which was priced wrongly.

It was priced at RM55 per slice!

I reminded the waiter and got them to price it correctly.

Therefore, this cake gave me a strong impression.

Not only that, its flavorful taste did leave me wanting more too.

It costs RM9 only :)

It consist of a layer of chocolate, espresso, butter etc.

We did order more food and beverage, but to no avail, I couldn't find those pictures. I'll just leave it to your imagination.

The drinks were only so-so, not their selling point though.

Anyway, thumb up for the place and the food.

This place, totally swept me off my feet.

I'll go back there for more in the future :)

My iPad Encounter

Newspaper > iPad (sometimes xD)

First off, it's not that I abandoned my blog or something, and it's not that I don't have time to do a proper post, it's just that nothing great has happened lately. I've been staying home a lot :P. Why do I stay home you ask? Well, I've been banned from shopping. That's because I spent quite a bit during my Singapore trips. So, what's the point of going to the malls if can see but cannot buy leh :P? Well, prolly you'd say 'Go watch movie lahhh!' Basically, I've watched all the movies in the theatre now, due to raya, they didn't renew the movies. I'm currently waiting for 23rd, so that they would release new movies and I'm going to the movies again with cousie wooots! Excited Excited!

Then, a little crisis happened yesterday! My iPad came, after waiting for a week. It was still the wrong version. I wanted the 16GB of 3G+Wifi version, however Uncle B bought the 32Gb Wifi only version for me. The message was conveyed wrongly.

Apparently it went like this :

I told daddy I wanted 16GB 3G+Wifi, daddy phoned Uncle B who was in USA, and told him the same. Both of them were Mr. Computer-knows-nothing. So, to make things clearer, daddy called Uncle A who was in Singapore and cleared things up with him. Then, Uncle A made another phone call to Uncle B of USA while he was in a remote area somewhere in Indonesia. Somehow somewhat, messages were conveyed wrongly xD. Although the crisis is over, I find this long distance miscommunication quite funny xD. I'm bad I know.

To make matters better, after Uncle B found out that he bought the wrong version, he quickly retrieve the 32GB and put it back in his backpack. Then, he made a phone call to Singapore (if I'm not wrong) to order the correct one for me. Therefore, in conclusion, I think I can get the right iPad by next week :), before the commencement of university :D. I felt bad for making Uncle B to go through all that hassles to buy me the iPad, but he was quick to act. By the time when I wanted to tell him that it's alright, I'll just take the 32GB ones, I already can't. That's cause he will need to cancel his new order, that will be much much hassle, and there will be nothing else I can do but to dig a hole and climb in, then hide there forever. I could actually just take the 32GB ones, cracked it, and then let it free ride on my iPhone 3G though.

Enough bout Uncle A and Uncle B. I'm getting my iPad soon, patient :D Anyhow, this is just a short update on my recent happenings, nothing much has happened actually. I still visit nice restaurants and watch good movies, but to blog on those, I've temporarily lost the mojo :(

Bear with my lack of blogging mojo-ness :), it will be back soon. I'm praying that iPad will spark the interest again x).

Gotten a band 7 for IELTS, thanks to How I Met Your Mother :), you know you can learn English from sitcom too!

I'm going UK instead.

With all my friends scattered around UK now, WAIT FOR ME PEEPS, I'm coming soon.

Ok enough bout that.

It was quite an impromptu outing, given this outing was only planned on Monday.

Clubbing on a Tuesday night seems weird huh?

Indeed ler, the clubs were half filled.

MOS was closed, so there were only Coco Banana and Opera to choose from.

We went from G floor to M floor and back to G floor :/

People were slowly filling in by 1am.

However, still lacked atmosphere.

Because, it wasn't jam-packed.

Oh well, quiet night indeed.

Nevertheless, Tuesday night was a bad idea.
